Rainy Sunday washout for North Georgia; warm-up begins Monday
A soggy Sunday is in the forecast for metro Atlanta as rain continues through much of the day. Meteorologist Alex Forbes and the FOX 5 Storm Team are tracking a 100% chance of rain that will wash out outdoor plans. While North Georgia deals with the rain, Southeast Georgia is under a Level 2 risk for severe storms, including the potential for isolated tornadoes. Dry weather and a significant warm-up arrive just in time for Presidents Day.
