Hand, foot, mouth cases surge across Georgia
Doctors in Georgia are reporting a surge in hand, foot and mouth disease, a painful viral illness that causes blistering rashes and often spreads quickly among children. Pediatricians at Morehouse Medicine say they’ve treated multiple severe cases this year, with statewide infections already more than double last year’s total. The outbreak has spiked since the start of the school year and is now spreading to adults as well.
