Man who shot suspected car thief found guilty
31-year-old Josiah Gilbert has been found guilty of murdering Marcus Mitchell in June 2017. Gilbert told police that he heard someone breaking into his car outside his Atlanta apartment and grabbed his handgun. When he saw the man who he thought was the burglar running, he fired a shot into the back of his head. That victim, Mitchell, later died.
