Piedmont and LifeLink celebrate five years of the DCU
A pioneering partnership in Georgia is celebrating five years of turning tragedy into hope. Piedmont Hospital and LifeLink of Georgia are marking the anniversary of their combined Donor Care Unit (DCU), a specialized facility that has facilitated nearly 1,000 organ donations and over 3,500 transplants since its inception. The DCU is one of only a few in the country, designed specifically to provide expert care for organ donors, allowing for a more streamlined and successful transplant process.
