Trial for man accused of murdering 7-year-old Kennedy Maxie begins
The trial begins for the death of seven-year-old Kennedy Maxie, who Atlanta Police officials say was shot near Phipps Plaza a few days before Christmas in 2020 by 24-year-old Dequan Reed. Authorities say that Reed faces charges including felony murder and reckless endangerment, in addition to gun charges.
