Shoplifting enforcement policy discuss by Atlanta police

A different kind of shoplifting is plaguing the city of Atlanta. It involves people boldly walking out of stores with items. The Atlanta Police Department policy on shoplifting has been inconsistent. In fact, at one point officers were directed not to respond to most calls for that type of crime. City council members recently pressed the police staff on the matter.
