Woman shot at DeKalb Walmart picked up by good samaritan
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A woman shot in the parking lot of a Walmart in DeKalb County Tuesday night was driven to safety by a concerned citizen, according to DeKalb County Police.
It happened in the 5900 block of Memorial Drive around 8:30 p.m.
Police say the woman was inside her car when a truck pulled up beside her. A man reportedly got out and started shooting toward her car.
The woman, who, police say, was shot in the leg, got out and ran away. She was picked up by a concerned citizen, who drove her to the DeKalb County Jail. The victim was later transported to a local hospital.
Police say the shooter got into the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene; he is still on the loose.
