Charlie Kirk murder: Judge rules redacted transcript, audio from closed hearing can be released
Suspect in Kirk's murder makes virtual appearance
Tyler Robinson made a virtual court appearance on Monday. The judge ruled for transcripts from earlier to be released with some redactions.
A judge ruled that the transcript and audio recordings of a closed-door hearing involving Tyler Robinson, the man accused of shooting and killing Charlie Kirk, can be released in redacted forms.
Monday's hearing centered on how much access the media and public should have as Robinson's case continues in Provo, Utah. Robinson, 22, appeared virtually Monday in a Utah courtroom for a hearing related to media coverage of the court proceedings.
Judge Tony Graf Jr. said the redactions amounted to 246 words in the 80-page transcript. FOX News reported that the transcript is scheduled to be released by the end of the day, but Graf noted during the hearing it would take roughly two weeks to redact and release the audio recording.
