Soldier returns to Atlanta to surprise fiancée

ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A soldier who has spent the last several months overseas returned home to Atlanta and met his daughter for the first time.

He said been deployed in the Middle East since July.

Once he found out his return date, he and his mother worked together, so he could surprise his fiancée with his homecoming.

She arrived at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Thursday thinking she was picking up her cousin, but instead, was greeted by her future husband.

The family said they couldn't be happier to be reunited and are especially pleased to have pulled off such a big surprise.
