Police have released a sketch of a man who is being called a suspect in a deadly home invasion nearly a month ago.

DeKalb County Police said the man, who was wearing a wig and arched eyebrows, broke into a house on Beechwood Forest Drive just outside of Lithonia on July 24. The homeowner shot the man in the stomach after he continued to walk towards him in a basement, according to investigators.

The man is described as being between 20 and 30 years of age with no tattoos or scars. Police said he stood about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighed about 180 pounds. The man was wearing a burgundy shirt and shorts at the time of the crime.

Police said the homeowner will likely not faced charges because investigators said the evidence points to the shooting being justifiable.
