Serial burglar steals pepperoni toppings, brownies from pizza place

A pizza place in Southeast Atlanta has suffered through $10,000 in broken glass doors and windows, after thieves repeatedly smash their way in to steal toppings and brownies. According to the owner of Little Azio Pizza & Pasta in Ormewood Park, the crook has a specific topping target, preferring to go straight for pepperoni or chicken.

So far Atlanta Police have responded to over a dozen of 911 calls at Little Azio since the fall for alarms going off, vandalism and thefts. The owners say there have been up to eight or more busted windows or break-ins.

"We want to keep this place in business," says one patron. "There's kind of a ground swell [to] come out and support Azios."

Dozens of people have turned out to dine at the restaurant since word of the bizarre break-ins first came to light. They want to support the small business and word of Azio's plight continues to spread across community social media sites.

Atlanta Police say one man was arrested in April for stealing meat from the kitchen, but there is no word whether he is responsible for the latest series of break-ins in July.
