Police: Two people shot near Martin Luther King Drive

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police are investigating a shooting near Martin Luther King Drive at Peyton Place. Authorities say two people were shot, and a person is in custody.

Police say that one person who was shot is a male. Authorities received a call of a shooting around 10 a.m.

Atlanta Police say one male was found shot inside of a vehicle and another was found shot nearby. Both are in stable condition.

Police say they believe the incident began as a dispute in a vehicle between the two, and that shots were fired inside the vehicle.

One male was found in the vehicle with gunshot wounds to the head and chest, according to police. He was taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

Another male had gunshot wounds to the leg and buttock.

There was a female witness who was not injured, according to police. Two firearms were recovered at the scene, and police are not looking for other suspects.
