Police: Two killed in shooting in Riverdale
RIVERDALE, Ga. - Two men were shot multiple times and killed after an incident on Roberts Drive in Riverdale, according to Riverdale police.
Police say one victim was an adult and one was a juvenile, and authorities are calling this a homicide investigation.
Riverdale Police shut down a building and business complex off Roberts Drive, after witnesses tell FOX 5 they reported hearing gunshots and people fleeing the area.
Police said around 3:30 p.m., they responded to 911 calls about an incident in the 600 block of Roberts Drive.
"I heard gunshots...I thought it might have been backfire because there was a maintenance man doing work. I had seen a police car came by, and an ambulance. Next thing I know, they had the house taped off," said Juan, a nearby resident, and witness who did not want to give his full name.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said its investigators were on the scene to aid Riverdale Police investigators.
