Police search for gunman in deadly southwest Atlanta shooting

ATLANTA - Police are looking for the gunman who killed a man late Wednesday evening in southwest Atlanta.

Calls came in about shots fired just before midnight in the 700 block of Pinehurst Terrace. Responding officers found the victim dead on the sidewalk. His identity hasn't been released, but detectives said he appears to be in his early 30's. They also think he was likely the shooter's intended target.

Investigators don't have any suspects or motive for the crime. They said it's possible the killer fled the scene in a white SUV.
