Police: Man dead after shooting in apartment parking lot

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - A man is dead after a shooting in the parking lot of a Decatur apartment complex, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

The incident occurred at the Waterford Manor apartment complex off of Covington Highway, according to police. The man was found dead in the parking lot, according to officials.

According to police, the victim was in a white vehicle when a suspect approached him and attempted to rob him at gunpoint. They got into a struggle, shots were fired, and the victim staggered and collapsed in the parking lot, according to authorities.

Officials are speaking to people that were at the scene, and no arrests have been made.
