Police locate Powder Springs man with dementia

UPDATE: Police say he has been located.

Powder Springs police need your help locating an elderly man.

Robert Carlisle Helton, 83, left his home Monday around 10:30 a.m. He was headed to the Powder Springs Post Office. He was driving a 2014 blue Honda CRV with Georgia tag: PDX9920.

Investigators say Helton is diagnosed with dementia.

The vehicle he drives has a "UGA Grandparents sticker" on the lower left back window and a big "G" magnet on the back lift gate.

Helton is 6'4" and weighs 192 pounds. He has sandy blonde hair and was last seen wearing blue pants and a white t-shirt.

Police say Helton should be wearing glasses and hearing aids.
