Police: Former Auburn football player robbed Chinese restaurant
DULUTH, Ga. - A former Auburn University wide receiver is in jail after police say he robbed a Duluth Chinese restaurant.
Police allege that 21-year-old Myron Burton robbed China Taste, a restaurant located on the 3800 block of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, on Aug. 7 in the afternoon.
After an investigation, police identified Burton as being the suspect in the armed robbery and put him under arrest on Aug. 10.
Burton, who played for Peachtree Ridge High School, was a red-shirt freshman for Auburn, the school's website said. He played in a 2015 spring game before leaving school.
He's been transported to Gwinnett County Jail and charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
