Police find woman dead in Marietta woods

MARIETTA, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police are asking the public for help solving the mystery of a woman found dead in Marietta.

According to Marietta Police, officers were called to the area of Bells Ferry Road and Cobb Parkway North for an investigation on Feb. 12.

During a search, the officers discovered the body of a woman in the woods near the intersection.

Investigators now have identified the woman as 57-year-old Marietta resident Kelly Albertson. They have ruled her death "suspicious."

Police are now asking anyone who recognizes Albertson or has information on where she has been for the last week to call Marietta Detective Mark Erion at 770-794-5363.
