Police: Bystander caught in crossfire during shootout

A shootout across a DeKalb County road sends two people to the hospital. One was just sitting in a car when she was hit. 

DeKalb County Police say late Tuesday evening two men on the opposite sides of Candler Road near Interstate 20 starting shooting at each other.  One of the men was hit in the leg and transported to the hospital.  The other left the scene before police arrived. 

During the shootout, one of the bullets went into a car that was at the traffic light. A 19-year-old woman who was a passenger in that car was hit in the arm and rushed to the hospital. FOX 5 was also told there was a child in the same who was not injured. 

Police are still looking for the second shooter who left the scene. Officers have not released the name of the 19-year-old woman who was caught in the crossfire.
