Police: Armed robber used stolen cards to buy beer

Detectives in Gwinnett County need your help identifying a suspected armed robber and his getaway driver.

Police say on Nov. 8 a woman was sitting in her car outside of an apartment complex on Breckenridge Boulevard in unincorporated Duluth when the suspect approached her vehicle.

The suspect, who said by police to be an "unknown Hispanic male" knocked on the victim's window with a handgun and demanded her purse in Spanish.

Officials say the man was able to take the purse and fled in a white Toyota Camry driven by his accomplice, described as a "heavy-set Hispanic female."

According to police, it didn't take long for the suspect to use the victim's cards. They were caught on camera at two nearby gas stations, buying beer at one of them.

Officials described the male suspect as being in his late 20’s or early 30’s. He has dark hair, brown eyes, and distinctive facial hair.
