Police: Argument between friends leads to murder

LITHONIA, Ga. - A late night shooting left a man dead and his friend in custody.

DeKalb County Police say a couple of friends got into some kind of dispute behind a home in the 2900 block of Winding Grove Drive. The situation escalated until one man pulled a gun and shot the other, according to investigators. 

Police got the 911 call around 10 p.m. Sunday.  Arriving officers found the victim, who they describe as being a 20-year-old man. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital where he later died.

Police took the victim's acquaintance, the alleged shooter, into custody. They tell us he lives in the unincorporated Lithonia home. 

No one else was injured in the shooting.
