Pedestrian struck, killed on I-85 in Union City

UNION CITY, Ga. - Officials are investigating a deadly pedestrian accident on Interstate 85 Friday morning.

The pedestrian was struck and killed on the southbound off-ramp to State Route 138.

Motorists are being urged to use the Flat Shoals exit and Highway 29 as an alternate route.

Investigators remain on scene investigating. The investigation has been turned over to the Georgia State Patrol.
