Officers honored for pulling driver from burning car

Two brave Montgomery County Police officers are being honored Friday for rescuing an unconscious man from a burning vehicle.

On September 1, 2015, Officer Cody Field and Officer Brian Nesbitt responded to a fiery crash on Interstate 495 between Georgia Avenue and Connecticut Avenue.

When they arrived they found the driver of the vehicle was unconscious and stuck inside of a burning car.

Both officers risked their lives to pull the driver to safety who walked away with minor injuries.

The award will be presented at the annual Chamber of Commerce Public Safety Awards.
