McDonalds near Grady Memorial Hospital closes abruptly

ATLANTA - A popular McDonalds in Atlanta has closed its doors for good just after midnight early Saturday morning.

The fast food restaurant on Jesse Hill Jr. Drive is popular with employees at Grady Memorial Hospital and families of hospital patients. It is one of the only fast food spots within walking distance of the hospital.

A Grady spokesperson sent FOX 5 News a statement which reads in part “Grady is actively exploring a number of options for this location that best serve the needs of our patients, visitors and staff.”

There was no reason given to the closure.
