Man convicted in death of 10 month old daughter
MARIETTA, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A Cobb County jury convicts a man of second-degree murder and cruelty to children in the death of his 10-month-old daughter.
Back in August 2017, Prosecutors said Sidrick Melancon dropped his unresponsive daughter off at an urgent care and left to run errands.
Doctors declared the child brain dead, after discovering several injuries, including brain bleeding, trauma to her neck, and leg fractures.
The jury convicted Melancon of all charges.
Sentencing is set for later this month.
He faces up to 50 years behind bars.
