Loganville Woman Celebrates 100th Birthday

LOGANVILLE, Ga. - A Loganville woman celebrated a milestone birthday last Friday surrounded by friends and family.
According to The Walton Tribune, Lena Elizabeth "Granny" Fortner was born in Cobb County on November 20, 1915. She was married to Rev. W.D. Fortner and together they had four children and eventually nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Fortner now resides at Southern Plantation in Loganville. The Walton Tribune said the "fun and witty" grandmother spread her birthday festivities out over two days last week.
