A stolen French bulldog is back home in Coweta County. It's all thanks to a FOX 5 viewer who saw the story on Luna.
COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - The French bulldog that was reportedly stolen in Coweta County has been returned, FOX 5 Atlanta has learned.
The dog, whose name is Luna, was stolen by an individual who broke into a home and took the dog.

The family came home to find their front door wide open, belongings missing, and the dog missing.

Burglar caught on camera stealing pet frenchie
Coweta County deputies are working to identify a burglary suspect who stole a family’s French Bulldog during a home invasion. The incident was captured on a home surveillance camera.
Luna’s owner, Brittany, described the emotional toll of the incident: "She really is family. She’s really become my support animal. Throughout the past year, and you know, it really feels just like losing a child to us."
The theft of Luna deeply affected the family, with Brittany adding, "I started, you know, immediately just screaming and broke down. Like I said, it’s like people think, ‘Oh well, that’s just a pet.’ No, it’s part of our family."
French bulldog returned
What we know:
A FOX 5 viewer in College Park saw the initial story and helped alert the authorities, then Luna’s owner.
"Oh, my gosh, it was so amazing. Our hearts are so full. We were able to get to her home and get her a bath. She ate really well. You can tell she hasn’t been eating very much," said Luna’s owner.
But It appears Luna was dumped in College Park. A Fox 5 viewer recognized Luna, alerted authorities and contacted the owner.
"We are over the moon to have her back. We are so thankful to the family that reached out and did the right thing and got her home to us safely."
The family took Luna to the pet store on Wednesday night to pick out a new toy. Her owner says besides losing weight, Luna has shown signs of being traumatized.
"Oh, absolutely, when I first got my hands on her, she was shaking and really wouldn’t make eye contact with me," her owner said.

What we don't know:
Investigators are still working to identify the man in this home surveillance video. They believe this is who broke into the Coweta County home. The video even showed Luna following him around the house.

Investigators still need the public’s help in identifying the man in the video.
The thief was wearing construction vest at the time of the burglary and dognapping. He is seen on surveillance video going up and down the family’s staircase, with the little French Bulldog following him. The family says they were notified when the man set off motion detectors in the house.
The theft was reported to the Coweta County Sheriff's Office who asked the public to help them find the thief and the dog.
