ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Atlanta native and ESPN host Maria Taylor stops back home to get students excited about reading.
Taylor hosted a reading and pizza party for second graders at KIPP Vision Primary Tuesday.
The party was on behalf of the organization Book It, Pizza Hut's reading program.
Taylor said using her platform to promote literacy, especially in her hometown, is important to her.
After Taylor read aloud to the students, Book It made a book donation to the school, and gave administrators a $1,000 grant, to use for the library and educational resources.
