Duo tries to rob store clerk at gunpoint in DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating after an attempted armed robbery at a gas station in DeKalb County.

The incident happened at the Texaco on Bouldercrest Road last week.

The store's clerk, Tilahun Negash, told FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell two people, who appeared to be teenagers, attempted to rob him at gunpoint.

Surveillance video captured the encounter.

Negash said this is the second time within the last year that someone has tried to rob his business.

DeKalb County Police told Mitchell there have been nearly a dozen robberies in the Bouldercrest Road area this year.
