Deadly Shootout on Residential Gwinnett Street

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A late night gunfight on a Gwinnett County street left one man dead and three others injured.

Shots were fired around 10 p.m. Wednesday on Reddington Lane in unincorporated Norcross. Police said two groups were firing at each other.  Investigators don't know the total number of gunmen, but say many shots were fired.

Arriving officers found a man who had been shot in the street. Rescue workers rushed him to the hospital, but the man didn't survive. His identity isn't being released pending notification of kin.  

Three more were hurt in the gunfight. A police dog found one of them was found hiding in a shed on an nearby street.

The injured were taken to Gwinnett and Atlanta Medical Centers.

Bullets riddled a number of homes and cars that were caught in the crossfire.  Luckily no innocent bystanders got hurt.
