Man killed in Clarkston park

Clarkston police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead in a pocket park Sunday morning. Officers responded to a popular walking trail in the 3600 block of Church Street after receiving calls about a person down. When they arrived, they found the victim, 30-year-old Rashard Grier, with multiple gunshot wounds.

What we know:

Officers responded to a popular walking trail in the 3600 block of Church Street after receiving calls about a person down. When they arrived, they found the victim, 30-year-old Rashard Grier, with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said Grier had been shot in the face and abdomen.

The shooting happened around 9:50 p.m. Saturday, but his body was not found until 7:45 a.m. Sunday, according to investigators.

Officials said they're still trying to identify the shooter.
