Dahlonega woman arrested for alleged false report of hijacking

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A woman was arrested for making a false report of a hijacking, Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies said.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, Stacey Garner claimed her vehicle was stolen from her by two men last week.

After investigating, deputies said they believe the woman crashed her vehicle into the tree and called 911 a few minutes later.

Garner was charged with filing false reports and making false statements to law enforcement officers and failure to report an accident.
