Church gives food boxes to families in need

ATLANTA - An Atlanta area church gives Thanksgiving food to more than 1,200 families in need.

The Cascade United Methodist Church started work at 4 a.m. Monday getting food prepped and into the hands of the recipients.

The church's New Advent Choir heads the annual effort and more than 300 volunteers helped out including several groups of young people.

The church says several community and corporate partners donated to the effort as well including Quality Foods and Action Ministries.
