Car thieves target high school football stadium
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Police are investigating a string of car break-ins outside a high school football stadium in DeKalb County.
The break-ins were reported around 5 Monday evening at the Buck Godfrey Stadium in Decatur.
Victims told FOX 5 the stolen items include iPads, sunglasses, and cameras.
In one case, they say someone's entire car was stolen.
Two of the victims works for DeKalb County Schools as bus drivers, and say both their cars were broken into and damaged.
Victims said this isn't the first time this has happened.
"We feel like that we come to work and we want to be comfortable. We want to be able to not look over our shoulders," Jennifer Lowe said. "For 15 cars to be broken into – one is stolen – it hurts."
They say there were several break-ins outside the stadium just last month.
