Burgers with Buck: Kitchen Six
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Perhaps the first thing you’ll notice when perusing the menu at Kitchen Six in Oak Grove, there is no burger on it.
I know what you’re thinking...Wait, what?
Heresy!
Isn’t this #BurgersWithBuck?
Now take a deep cleansing breath my burger loving friend. Surely you know that after 154 editions, BWB wouldn't do that to you.
It’s just another example of Burgers With Buck taking you behind the menu to keep you in the know, and to give you the inside skinny on a delicious option that will keep you a bite or two ahead of the uninformed among us.
OK, so what you won’t see on the Kitchen Six menu is the K-6 Burger, but the most excellent news is that you can see it on your plate and in your mouth (and isn’t that what really matters). The K-6 Burger consists of two grass fed patties topped with a couple of delicious house made items including bacon jam and truffle aioli. Add shredded lettuce and sharp white cheddar cheese, and you get the idea. It’s a quality burger that is not over done with ingredients that cover the taste of the meat, but rather enhance it.
Now that you know, you can order the K-6 Burger anytime, but in the words of Ron Popeil, but wait, there’s more. Tuesday night’s at Kitchen Six are also known as Beer + Sammies Night. What that means is that you can order one of their select specialty sandwiches (including the K-6 Burger) for $10 and pair it with a select can of beer for an additional $3, or a select draft beer for an additional $5. A really good deal on a really good burger and a really good beer.
Maybe I’ll see you there on an upcoming Tuesday.
