WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies in North Georgia said they have found the body of a missing woman after more than a year after her disappearance.
Investigators said it was her girlfriend who buried the body. According to the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office, Amy Duckett led investigators to the body which was covered in a tarp in a shallow grave.
The sheriff said Duckett and the woman, 39-year-old Christine Medlin, had been romantically involved for years.
So far, deputies have not specified a cause of death.
Duckett has been charged with concealing a body and lying to police. Deputies said more charges are likely.
