Avett Brothers to play 2 shows at 2017 Savannah Music Fest
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — The Avett Brothers will headline two shows at the 2017 Savannah Music Festival.
Organizers have announced the lineup for next year's 17-day festival, which features dozens of concerts ranging from rock and jazz to classical and bluegrass.
Roots rock singer-songwriter Jason Isbell has been booked to return to the festival. Also returning is British folk-rock guitar hero Richard Thompson, who will share a bill with Texas singer-songwriter Sarah Jarosz.
Other shows include Robert Spano conducting the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in an all-Rachmaninov program with pianist Stephen Hough and a pairing of jazz organ masters Joey DeFrancesco and Ike Stubblefield.
The Savannah Music Festival opens March 23 and runs through April 8.
