Atlanta Police: Man shot multiple times in leg

ATLANTA - Police are investigating a shooting in southwest Atlanta early Tuesday morning. 

It happened in the 1400 block of Avon Avenue Southwest. Police responded to the 911 call shortly after 6 a.m. and upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the leg. 

Investigators said the victim was uncooperative with police and refused to provide any identifying information. 

The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition. Police later identified the victim and said there were two active warrants out for his arrest.
