Atlanta Police look for man who shot at Lyft

A Lyft passenger had to be transported to the hospital Saturday night after a man opened fire into a rideshare driver's car.

Around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Atlanta Police said a Lyft driver was dropping off a male and a female passenger at a home on Hanford Drive when a man walked up to the car and opened fire.  The driver left the neighborhood and drove to a nearby Walmart, located at 844 Cleveland Avenue in East Point to find help.  An East Point police officer then notified Atlanta Police about the shooting.

Paramedics transported the male passenger to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition after he suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder.  No one else was injured in the shooting.

Atlanta Police are still investigating, but the female passenger told officers that the shooter may have been her ex-boyfriend.
