Atlanta District 3 Council member took the oath of office Monday

The Atlanta City Council District 3 has a new councilmember representing it. 

Antonio Brown took the oath of office Monday.

Officials said Brown’s term lasts through 2021 and is filling the empty seat Councilmember Ivory Lee Young Jr. left after the council member’s death in 2018.

Officials said Brown won 53 percent of the vote.
