Gwinnett County Police detectives have arrested a man for killing Silling Man and leaving her body at a shopping mall.

Emmett Davis, 21, faces charges of aggravated assault and felony murder. Police said Davis was Silling's boyfriend and was believed to be living with her in hotels not far from Gwinnett Place Mall.

The body of Silling Man, 19, was found by a maintenance worker on Dec. 21 while doing a routine inspection of the restaurant area, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Investigators said a family member reported her missing in October, but two days later, she returned home. Police closed that case, but family members said she ran away again a short time later. She was a student at Georgia State University.
