Alarm prompts brief scare on Georgia Tech campus

A brief scare on the campus of Georgia Tech early Tuesday evening prompted the evacuation of at least on building and several road closures.

The Marcus Nanotechnology Building has since been cleared after campus police said a “toxic gas alarm” prompted the closures.

Traffic was redirected at Ferst and State due to the alarm.

Authorities said they have since cleared the alarm and campus activities are returning to normal.
