A group of Acworth neighbors is collecting basic supplies for people affected by Hurricane Michael.

The neighbors have done similar drives before, and this time they say they are ready to caravan to Florida with immediate supplies for people in need.

They are collecting nonperishable food, baby supplies, bottled water, pet food and much more. The team plans to leave by Sunday afternoon. Once loaded, the team will drive directly to an affected neighborhood and distribute the assistance.

FOX 5's Will Nunley, who just returned from Panama City Beach, spent the day with the volunteers learning about their effort. Click the video above to learn more about their mission.

If you would like to donate to the supply drive, visit 4875 Cobb Parkway in Acworth, starting at 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
