Recipe for delicious Super Bowl snack

Super Bowl Sunday isn't just about the big game... it's also about the snacks! 

If you want to impress your guests, take a look at this recipe for Chinese Steak Sliders:


  • 1 lb steak cut of your choice
  • 2 T garlic, chopped
  • 1 T honey 
  • 1 T Shao Xing cooking wine, white wine will work as well
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 T oyster sauce
  • 1 t Chinese five spice
  • 0.5 t ground black pepper
  • 4 T sugar
  • 2 pieces of preserved tofu, this is available at Buford highway farmers market and is optional but I love what it does to the flavor
  • Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • Chinese spicy mustard
  • Pickles 

Directions: Mix all ingredients for the marinade in a small bowl and stir until fully incorporated. Pour over steak and allow to marinate for 6-8 hours. Rinse the marinade off and heat a cast iron pan over high heat. Add neutral oil to the pan to coat the bottom and sear steaks for 4 minutes on each side. Rest steaks for 2 minutes and then slice thin. Toast the slider rolls and slather with Chinese mustard. Place steak slices on each roll and add pickles. Enjoy!
