New rooftop lounge offers first-class food and views

Outdoor dining is one of the big perks of living in Georgia, especially during the warm spring months.  But a new rooftop lounge in Metro Atlanta offers more than just first-class food — it also gives guests some of the most exciting views in the city.

Overdrive Lounge is the new rooftop lounge on the eighth floor of Solís Two Porsche Drive, a hotel located next to the Porsche Cars North America Atlanta campus and near the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport International Terminal.  That means the rooftop lounge gives diners views of both the Porsche Experience Center and several of the airport’s runways, offering a close-up look at planes taking off and landing from the world’s busiest airport.  Opened in early April, Overdrive Lounge features a menu created by executive chef Derrick Green and a full bar with cocktail, wine and beer lists.

Overdrive Lounge is open to both hotel guests and the general public, and serves guests nightly from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.  As the hotel’s name suggests, Overdrive Lounge is located at Two Porsche Drive in Hapeville.

Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken is never one to turn down some rooftop dining, and spent the morning at Overdrive Lounge getting a “taste” of this unique addition to Metro Atlanta’s outdoor dining scene.
