Community rallies to help family for Christmas

A local father and his family received a heartwarming Christmas gift after he was injured on the job.

In October, Jason Jolley was doing a repair job in a crawl space at a Lawrenceville home when the roof collapsed, leaving him badly injured and out of work.

To make things worse, Jolley's wife was laid off from her job, and they and their children are now without an income source.

When the business at the nearby Grayson Commons Shopping Center heard about the Jolleys' terrible situation, they decided they had to help get the family back on their feet.

The local Great Clips "adopted" the Jolleys, and all the stores pitched in to fundraise for the family.

"Myself and some coworkers decided to reach out to different places," family friend Brian Cooper said. "They took it and ran with it and started something really special."

The stores collected toys, money, clothing and food.

The items were taken to the family's home as a special surprise.

If you want to help the family, a GoFundMe for the Jolleys has been created here.
