Burgers with Buck: Southbound

You may be familiar with the Antiques Row District of Chamblee, in DeKalb County.  It's been called the South's largest and most unusual antique area, a place where Atlantans have gone in search of classics, for years.

This week, #BurgersWithBuck found a different kind of classic.  In the space formerly occupied by The Shady Ladies, now sits Southbound.  The concept is new American Southern.  They serve classic American and Southern dishes, with a modern twist.

The signature burger is known as the SB Burger (hence the name Southbound, get it?).  It is a classic in the sense that the ingredients are traditional, but it's the quality of those ingredients that separates it from the burger pack.  It starts with a thick, 8 oz. Certified Angus Beef patty that is a sirloin, rib eye, and chuck blend served on a Brioche bun.  Then add Hook's aged cheddar cheese, house made pickles, mayo, and ketchup, along with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard.

The ingredients are classic.  Nothing flashy, just high quality and delicious. Sometimes less really is more.

And, as always, if you have a favorite burger that you would like to see featured on, tell me about it on Facebook or Twitter, and don't forget to use the hashtag #BurgerswithBuck or #BWB.
