Burgers with Buck: Georgia Butts BBQ

EATONTON, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - What started as basically a BBQ shack on the side of the road, is now a beautiful full service restaurant located on the shores of lovely Lake Oconee. Let’s face it, is there a better back drop for burger eating?

The name Georgia Butts, implies that BBQ is their specialty, and it is. However, one thing #BurgersWithBuck has noticed and learned throughout years of burger eating (this is BWB #176), BBQ restaurants almost always have a burger on the menu, and usually it is a really good one. 

The BBQ Burger from Georgia Butts is no exception. It combines the best of both worlds. It starts with a huge, fresh ground patty topped with cheese. The they add their highly acclaimed pulled pork, slaw, and bacon to make it not only delicious and flavorful, but also very large. It’s a mouthful, even for a highly trained professional burger eater like yours truly.

It would be delicious and enjoyable in any setting, but when you factor in that you are enjoying it along the shoreline of Lake Oconee, what’s not to love?
