Burgers with Buck: Bone Lick BBQ

If you are 40 years old or older, you no doubt remember that vintage, time-honored, and quite catchy McDonald's, Big Mac jingle.

Go ahead...say it with me. 

"Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun."

Brings back a lot of memories, doesn't it?

Well now there's a new twist on that old classic at Atlanta's Bone Lick BBQ.  It is called La Pig Mac, and after one small edit...the jingle still applies.

Substitute the word beef for pork, and you get a much bigger and much better version of the iconic American hamburger.  The special sauce is remoulade, and the pickles are house made.  Now while the ingredients are reminiscent of the Big Mac, that is where the similarities end.  No offense to McDonald's or the Big Mac, it is a very good fast food burger, but it does not compare to La Pig Mac.

And in the spirit of the old Ron Popeil infomercials...but wait, there's more.  Mike and the staff at the Edgewood location give you the option of taking your La Pig Mac to the next level.  In their words, you can go 'Buck Wild' by upgrading (or should I say supersizing) to the 'What the Buck' burger, which consists of a third all pork pattie and three strips of bacon (if you're scoring at home).

As you can imagine, the staff at #BurgersWithBuck is once again humbled to have another delicious burger bearing our name.  We think you should give it a try...that is of course if you are ready to go 'Buck Wild' (we usually are). 

If not, we highly recommend 'La Pig Mac'.
