APS Superintendent Meria Carstarphen talks about free back to school bash

ATLANTA - Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Meria Carstarphen stopped by Good Day Atlanta Monday to discuss the upcoming "Back To School Bash”.

Dr. Carstarphen says that this event will help students in Atlanta Public Schools get ready for day 1 of school on Wednesday, August 3. 

The free event takes place at the Georgia World Congress Center, building A, from 9A.M. to 1P.M. on Saturday, July 30.  

Dr. Carstarphen says students should take their transcripts with them and that shuttle buses will be available for students who want to attend.

Students can expect everything from free health screenings to free backpacks and prizes.
